Singer-actress Jessica Simpson, who had several failed romances, says she still hopes to find the 'right man'.

'I hope I don't die alone, that's for damn sure. Hopefully I can find a man that understands my life and understands my purpose. I just need to find the right man,' people.com quoted her as saying.

Simpson married singer Nick Lachey in 2002, but got divorced in 2006. After that she dated musician John Mayer but separated after nine months. In 2007, she started dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. The relationship ended in 2009.

The 29-year-old singer admits dating in the public eye is challenging.

'It does affect certain decisions. Like, I'd love to go out to dinner with certain people I've met, but I can't because everyone would be like, 'Wow! They're gonna get married!''she said.
