Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said conscription may be the answer to increasing the speed of the armed forces build-up.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said conscription may be the answer to increasing the speed of the armed forces build-up.

President Karzai has said the army will need to be 300,000-strong by 2012, in order to be prepared to do without foreign help by 2015.

By that time, he said, Afghanistan should only need help from Western forces to defeat terrorists.

The president believes local Afghan leaders back conscription because the army can provide men from the countryside with a good education.

Conscription was abolished in Afghanistan in 1992.

    Raise the people's voice.

Please assure the Taliban and other Afghani people that everyone is ready to give the Afghans their natural rights. You have to raise the people’s voice, and make that more effective than raising their guns. We raised their voice, but did we listen? ...ready to give the Afghans their natural rights... Use this. Keep the communication going, we’re getting somewhere now.

We need to draft all illegal Mexican into the Army and send them to Afganishtan front line. If they survived the 4 years front line duty and then will qualify as immigrant.I am very sure we can drummed up 30,000. strong Mexican and other illegal latino in the Army. They will get paid just like a regular army and if they decide to make a career out of it, they can do so.

    Raise the people's voice.

James Hovland: Educate yourself. Do not comment if you have no knowledge about what you are writing. Afghans are not Taliban. Taliban were created by British slaves with the help of CIA and Brits to controle Afghanistan and Pashtunistan. Nb power in the history has conquered Afghanistan without being defeated. You will see that Afghans will defeat the Paks and Taliban to dead. Use your mouth and not your ass, when you talk about Afghans.
